Layer Settings Overview

An overview of a layer's settings. Create and edit a layer's details, fields, styles, etc.

At the top of Layer Settings each tab represents windows for details, styles, fields, events, ESRI Arc GIS Syncs and Security. 

Admins will need to save any changes before moving to other tabs.

Details 

Where you can edit the name, description and default title. Add/edit tags 

Tags - Tags allow you to add an identifying piece of information to this layer that can be used elsewhere in the software to more easily control multiple layers in this map.

Styles

Clustering - Change the zoom level to a desired level to show features as a clustered group with a number representing the amount of features in that location.

Default Point and Line - Change the icon for your layer. Add a icon background. 

Icon Size - Change the size of your icons. Move the slider from XS to XL. On line features, XS will be a thinner line, and XL will be a thicker line feature. Layer Styles

Fields

Add and Edit attribute fields in your layer. 

Click the Plus (+) sign to add a new field to your map. 

Toggle on 'Include Task Fields?' to change your layer into a work order layer. Including the description, due and state fields.  

Security

Security is where admins can control user permissions for this specific layer in this map. The Default section will show a user's inherited permission for this layer based on the map settings, and the admin can drag the user to the section of the desired permission to change that user's permission for just this layer.  

Events

Event Types

Schedule - set an event to occur based on a schedule. Select when the schedule starts, ends (optional), and how often it should repeat.

Update - set an event to occur when a feature is updated. Coming soon...

Event Actions

Notification - send a notification to select user(s) or the assigned users (Task layers only) with the subject + message you want.

Update - update field values. Coming soon...

Create - create a new feature in the selected layer and with the data you provide. Coming soon...
